Fun for all the family!
The Queen of Hinching herself, Mrs Hinch, loves her "Turbo Trace" Turbo Mop, praising its ability to give her floors a thorough clean.
For the optimum clean we'd always recommend mopping in a "figure of 8" if you're using a string mop like the Turbo Mop. If you aren't sure how to do it or need a refresher, click here to see a video demonstration of Vernon Kay doing the "Figure of 8" with his Vileda SuperMocio Mop!
There are real benefits to cleaning the floor in a figure of 8. Not only will your floor be cleaner, but research shows that stretching too far with your mop forces you to bend unnecessarily and grip the mop tighter, which causes additional unnecessary strain on the body.
So, what are you waiting for?
Get practising your figure of 8! (Note - We would not advise mixing chemicals in your mop bucket like Vernon - Skip to Reason 4 to find out what you should be using in your Turbo Mop bucket!)
The Vileda Turbo Spin Mop benefits from a triangular mop head, designed to make cleaning corners and hard-to-reach areas underneath furniture easier than ever before.
The ergonomics of a triangular head allows trapped dirt, dust, or debris to be pulled out quickly and easily from under furniture, sofas, tables, and other often-forgotten areas of your home, making a once-difficult job quick and easy.
A little-known fact about the Vileda Turbo Spin Mop?
You can remove over 99% of bacteria just by using water*!
How does this work, I hear you ask - well, it's all down to the magic of microfibre!
Let's get scientific for a minute. Grainger, a leading distributor of industrial and safety supplies, sums up microfibres as "fibres approximately 1/16th the thickness of a human hair which - when woven together - create a net-like surface covered with millions of small spaces purposefully designed to trap moisture, dirt and debris."
As a result, these microscopic fibres can get into tiny nooks and crevices that other traditional cotton cloths and mops cannot reach.
However, the ability to cover more floor space is just one of the benefits of microfibre. The second - and most important - aspect, is its ability to scoop up and store surface contaminants. Research conducted by the University of California showed that microfibre cloths picked up a massive 230% more bacteria than a cotton-loop mop - the cotton mop could only pick up 30% of bacteria compared to the microfibre mop, which picked up 99%.
When you team the microfibres in the Vileda Turbo Mop head with water (often called the "universal solvent" because of its unique ability to dissolve many different things), you have the dream team, a dynamic duo able to remove over 99% of bacteria from your floors, with no need for extra chemicals!
The Vileda Turbo Spin Mop is universal - you can use it on any type of hard-sealed floor, from linoleum and laminate to real wood, parquet, and tiles.
You can easily control the desired dampness of the mop - the more you press the pedal, the drier the mop.
Easy! If you're not sure how best to care for your floors, then check directly with your flooring manufacturer for further details.
Fun fact of the day:
DID YOU KNOW - After we saw home influencer Sam from the account @theonebespoke using her Vileda Turbo Spin Mop as a bathroom tile cleaner, we conducted a poll on our Instagram page in January 2021 and found out that a huge 51% of respondents mopped their bathroom wall tiles too!
So, there you have it - a new and exciting way to clean your bathroom! Hands up who will be trying this out?
Another reason our followers love the Vileda Turbo Spin Mop is that it's built with the user in mind. No more mess from trying to empty a full mop bucket - Our Turbo Spin Mop comes fully equipped with a handy lengthways handle that makes balancing and manoeuvring the bucket quick and easy.
What's more, the integrated spout at the front of the bucket controls the removal of water with minimal splashing.
Once your bucket has been emptied, use the handy telescopic handle (with an adjustable range from 85-130cm) to reduce the size of the mop. This allows you to store your mop and bucket easily, ready for next use!
Once your mop head is ready for a clean, you can pop your mop head in a wash of up to 30 degrees!
But remember - don't use fabric softener in your washing machine when washing any kind of microfibre products, as the softener will negatively affect the microfibres.
There comes a time when your mop head is past its best, and we recommend replacing your mop head every three months. But, instead of having to replace your whole mop when that time comes, simply replace the mop head instead!
We have two different types of replacement mop heads for the Turbo Spin Mop.
The classic refill - Made of 100% microfibre, the classic mop head is highly absorbent and is perfect for tackling spills or greasy dirt.
Perfect for - mopping up liquid
The 2-in-1 refill - This refill is characterised by its three red "power zones" which - when coupled with the microfibre strands, can pick up 20% more particles than standard microfibre.
Perfect for - picking up more dirt and debris
